Technical Service Manager (TSM) – Nationwide

Are you an experienced white-goods engineer looking to take the next step in your career by moving into a leadership role? This position is ideal for a fully competent engineer who is keen to support the growth of the business through the recruitment, mentoring and development of trainees and junior engineers.

About the role

The TSM is a hands-on leadership role: you'll spend roughly half your time on the road supporting engineers, and half on coaching, audits and continuous improvement. You'll have direct ownership of a regional engineer cohort and will be the technical escalation point for complex faults.

What you'll do

  • Mentor trainees and junior engineers in customers' homes
  • Run technical audits on completed jobs and feed back to engineers
  • Support our recruitment pipeline by sitting in on skills assessments
  • Be the technical escalation point for tricky multi-brand repairs
  • Liaise with manufacturers on warranty and product-specific issues

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' multi-brand domestic appliance repair experience
  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) accreditation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience mentoring or leading a small team
  • Comfortable with field-based tooling (ServiceMate or similar)
