Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer – Nationwide
NAC are looking for enthusiastic, keen-to-learn individuals that are over 21 years of age with a full driving licence to join us as Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineers. As a trainee domestic appliance engineer, you will be trained to diagnose and repair faults to a huge range of multi-brand domestic appliances as a City & Guilds accredited engineer.

About the role
Our trainee programme runs in-house at our City & Guilds Assured training centre in Wakefield. You'll start with a structured 4-week classroom and workshop induction, then move out into the field with a senior engineer for hands-on shadowing before being given your own van and route.
What you'll do
- Complete the in-house training programme at our Wakefield centre
- Shadow a senior engineer for the first 8–12 weeks on the road
- Build up to working solo across washing machines, ovens, fridges and dishwashers
- Earn your City & Guilds accreditation through the programme
What we're looking for
- Over 21 years of age (insurance requirement for the van)
- Full UK driving licence
- Genuine interest in fixing things and learning a trade
- Good communication — you'll be in customers' homes from day one
- No previous appliance experience required
